The opening scene of A Quiet Place (2018), directed by John Krasinski, was one of the most innovative horror movies of the century. The film sets itself apart from typical horror movies by relying on suspense and silence rather than gore and slashers. Despite our film opening not exactly being horror, building suspense is still incredibly important especially when displaying a domestic violence situation.
